Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis believes Gunners will remain a top club for the next twenty years at least
Arsenal’s chief executive officer, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Gazidis has gone on to claim that the North London club can remain on top of things for the next twenty years, given the way they handle their funds.
Gazidis made these comments in regards to the financial fair play rules that are being introduced into the modern game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 Platini went on to introduce the rule, in order to ensure the adequate handling of funds by the European clubs and to ensure them not spending over the top, just to get the edge over their opponents. At the same time, the rule was introduced to try
and help the growth of home grown talent, which would help develop players from all across the continent for the future.
Despite that fact, Gazidis believes Arsenal don’t need to change anything, since the way they have things established at the club, they fall in line with the fair play rules and will be able to follow any changes made to the rules over the course of the
coming twenty years or so.
Gazidis is quoted to have said: "We believe in what we’re doing outside financial fair play so we’re not relying on any kind of rules nor are we really changing what we do.”
"We believe that what we do is the right thing to do for our football club. This idea of a sustainable model means that we can look forward with real confidence and say Arsenal will be at the top of the game five years from now, 10 years from now and 20
years from now.
"We don’t rely on anybody but ourselves for our own success and we stand on our own two feet.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have almost always been used as an example, when teams have tried to develop a plan for their long term future, which help them develop a profitable setup.
Over the course of the last few years, the Gunners have been purchasing players on the cheap and have evolved them into world class performers, as opposed to buying well established super stars.
This economical profitable setup has seen them make profits, but has hampered the team’s progress.
Nonetheless, with those young players now seemingly being in full bloom, it is only a matter of time before the Gunners finally get their title charge back on track.
Once that does happen, then the team would be successful both financially and in terms of winning of trophies.
