Arsenal – Chelsea special: Players to watch out for
Chelsea’s visit to the Emirates stadium can justifiably be tagged as the clash of the titans. While Arsenal have been a force ever since the latest format of Premier League was introduced, Chelsea only established their top-four status after Roman Abramovich
pumped in his billion into The Blues.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 visit their cross town rivals in a bid to rediscover some of their scintillating form, which they regularly displayed in the earlier part of the season. Arsenal meanwhile will look to take points off their opponents for the first time in six games;
Chelsea have won the last five games on trot.
Bettor.com pinpoints the players who can cause some damage on the pitch tomorrow night.
Didier Drogba
The beast of a striker has scored 13 goals in his last 13 games against Arsenal. Drogba started the season in divine form, but lost much of that form when a bout of Malaria hit him hard. There is little wonder that Chelsea lost the plot once the striker
was sidelined.
The Ivorian got back to scoring ways last week, when he made a real impact coming off the bench. Drogba’s powerful drive was too much to handle, as he single handedly helped his side claim a point at White Hart Lane.
Arsenal's centre-back pairing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/The-Strongest-c40725 of defenders, and they are expected to struggle against the Ivorian. Drogba is thus a safe bet to find the back of the net on Monday night.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097
The talismanic midfielder might not be the most technical of players, but his importance to Chelsea's cause has been highlighted in ruthless fashion during his injury enforced absence. Carlo Ancelloti didn’t miss the playmaker early in the season, as the
likes of Flourent Malouda and Drogba were in inspirational form, but once they ran out of gas there was no one to shoulder the goal scoring burden.
This match will see Lampard return to first team football from the off, and it will be interesting to see how he approaches this game. Should the Blues’ number eight hit the ground running, Chelsea will be odds-on favourites to take all three points.
Samir Nasri
While Fransec Fabregas has been struggling with various injuries for much of the season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 has risen to the occasion in stunning fashion. The French man has been the best Gunners player this season, and has been at the heart of all the moves. Nasri
possesses sharp incisive passing, intelligent movement, vision, creativity, pace and a trait that most Gunners lack; finishing.
The French prodigy has scored eight goals in 14 league appearances this season, and will shoulder most of the playmaking responsibilities tomorrow, while looking to hit the back of the net himself. Samir Nasri versus http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Cole-c6809 will be intriguing battle
to say the least.
Sébastien Squillaci
In absence of star defender Thomas Vemaelen, Squillaci will be the man in charge of handling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044; a daunting task to say the least. It is highly unlikely that Squillaci can match Drogba for pace and strength, thus the Frenchman will have to play
intelligently.
Despite his immense talent, Drogba does have a loose temper. Should Squillaci get under the Ivorian’s skin and keep him distracted, Drogba’s impact on proceedings will be severely limited.
