.... your opinions of him (before his goal) last night please ?

(or any other teams fans who watched the Arsenal v FC Twente match last night)

I shall keep my personal opinions of him to myself for now, as i would like to see if anyone was thinking the same as me, whilst watching last night!

Well played Arsenal, good result, good game, looking forward to the draw this afternoon to see who we get in our group.

Thanks Footie section, have a good day!

  1. He was absolutely awful last night. No wonder Adebayor wanted to kick his @ss - it was cos he's so S**t! lol

  2. Babe we all know the draw is a fix good player by the way.

  3. i was amazed by what he did............

  4. hes not a terrible player but proved himself last night! he is quite inconsistent but i think that might change over the course of the season! i think Wenger will still play him in everyday matches becuz again he knows wot he is doing on the field!

    thanks, u too carolyn!

  5. He should be happy that he got one. He was miserable.

  6. i think he played quite poor. he had a few decent chances and didnt take any of them. he is ok but not the best striker arsenal have. i also think van persie was poor as well. with a bit of training maybe they can become better finishers.

    =]

  7. i like that dude

  8. my opinion of him

he is a mediocre player with not much to offer someone will come in and push him to the bench in time to come watch and see. he really isn't all that.

    yay for Arsenal

not like it was not expected

  9. my opinion: he is hottttttt

that goal was excellent...hope we see many more similar to that one yesterday during the premier league and not only that but in the champions league too!

  10. I thought he did ok  but is lacking a bit of sharpness, I've seen him play a few times at the Emirates and he has a great work rate and gets himself in good positions, but as said before he does tend to get the ball stuck under his feet a bit. Give him time he'll improve

RVP needs to sort his act out though he can only get away with giving glimpses of how good he really is for so long, I know he had a lot of injuries last season but he needs to start firing and soon!

  11. I've always maintained that he doesn't deserve to start for Arsenal. He had some good moments, but like he always does he follows it up next attack with a stupid shot, bad dribbling or a horrible pass.

  12. He has great technique but is wildly inconsistent. Wenger will be disappointed that he isn't playing well often. He plays a good game once every 5 matches

  13. I didn't like him at all last season but he has came on a h**l of a lot this season, i was especially impressed with him in pre season friendlies.  His first touch is miles better and his work rate has doubled at least,

He's a different option i think if Van Persie isn't doing it - like he's not at the mo

  14. Just cause he scored doesn't mean he's good. Let's say, he didn't get any possession of the ball, until someone crossed it in, does that mean he played well, nope! On Samir Nasri's debut, he scored, but that didn't make him 'good'. What made him good is the great passes into spaces and he never, only once or twice gave the ball away.

  15. Nicklas Bendtner...... he's got bags of potential.

When I watch him, I always get the feeling that he's Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic together in one. His speed and technique is somewhat similar to Henry and yet he has that unpredictability and that swagger that reminds me of Zlatan.

I'll be watching out for him for the next couple of seasons. He should be quite a world beater =)

  16. He going to get better

  17. i want Carlos Vela to play!!

  18. he is a very good premier league player.......good enough for arsenal though??? thats debatable.

Think if arsenal want to win the league then they might have to move him on as they can definitely get better than him.

  19. The weak link. The performance was great last night, except from the strikers. 4 goals, yet only one from a striker. Bendtner did score, but that was only thanks to a very classy back heel from Denilson! Overall he looked quite poor, even though the stats aren't that against him, as he did get two assists, although both inadvertent, and a goal.

If I had to describe him in one word, it would be: CLUMSY!

He kept getting the ball stuck in his feet, and if he and RVP had been more clinical it would have been 7 or 8 on the night!

RVP didn't exactly have a good game either, missing two open goals!
