Anyone else a little disappointed about the below par performance last night? I know we won 2-0 and we were missing a few but it seems to me that Eboue and Denilson are in Arsene's plans and i just dont think they are good enough.

  1. Couldn't give a fcku!

  2. yep it wasa poor performance but we still got the job done and thats all that matters eboue is not gd enough to play right midfield he doesnt score and doesnt look creative enough hes to predictable when he dribbles as for denilson i thought he was one of our better players last night.

  3. I agree

  4. as long as we won,who cares

what matters is is that we play well during the premiership matches.we seriously cant afford so many absences

yesterday we played against a not-so-good team and won even though we didnt play so well but the premiership is not so easy as the qualifiers of the champions league

whatever mistakes we do,regarding our performance on the field or any injuries, will be costly for us so we have to be extra careful this season and obviously do our best

    arsene is a good manager

im sure he'll come up with something

  5. Will all you Gooners be going on saturday?3000 of us Baggies coming to outsing you guys whether we get stuffed 6-0 or sneak a 1-0 in the last minute...Personally I think it will be a draw...What do you reckon Linzi? Boing Boing

Edit...KP left to go to Blues because he did'nt want to be involved in a relegation scrap..He said this on tv after the game on saturday! So does that mean he will be leaving the Blues at the end of the season if they get promoted??He was offered a 1 yr deal and a further 1 yr extension if he made 19 appearances for us this season-I think he left 'cause he didn't think he could cut it in the prem with his dodgy knee.I wish him all the best, just hope we can get a quality replacement asap..Good luck to you guys.hope you beat Chelski and Manure to the title....

  6. In arsene i trust  :  )

  7. i agree with you there. i would of expected a bigger score. i know its stupid because we won but still i would of thought at least 3-0.

also eboue is over-rated. yeh he would be good compared 2 us but i mean he should live up 2 his professional status. he should not be professional! i dont see why arsene constantly gives him a starter place. but the thing is the reason he is so bad is because he is actually a right back rememba. but when sagna came in he went right mid. and when sagna got injured he still played mid and toure played right back. it was a very silly move.

denilson is good but needs 2 toughen up a little bit more and dont let himself be run of the ball. however he has got a lot of skill and talent and i can see where wenger is coming there.

anyway, i hope you like my answer.

  8. It was a fair performance by Arsenal considering it's the start of a new season.

    BTW.

Is Queen Zoolander about to emerge ?

  9. Don't worry Denilson is young and inexperienced...about Eboue' he is very inconsistent...but given a side which included no Fabregas, no Diaby, no Nasri and no Rosicky...this is a very good performance against a decent Twente side.

  10. They will improve for the group stages.

  11. Fabregas, Nasri, Diaby, Toure, Rosicky, Eduardo, Senderos & Song were missing. 8 first team players thats why but we got the result, sometimes you have to win ugly like Chelsea do, the return leg is at the Emirates all the pressure is on them so we should be able to win easily and Wenger says he will make one more signing before that match. See the news down there in the " source " box , Its our last signing for the summer hope its good one.

About the match, not a lot to say. Adebayor scores for us once again, Gallas scored that scrappy goal from Robin's free kick, he was good last night making all those runs to the left wing like I said he would. Eboue has stayed at Arsenal for 3 years now and Wenger for some reason is keeping him, the only highlight or the best moment of his career was his cross to Henry's goal against United, I can't think of something better he has done.

  12. we got the result we wanted ... a win, thats all that matters to me.

Lets hope they do step up a gear starting from Saturday though, we cant mess up, despite the injuries.

As for Eboue .... well everyone knows what i feel about him! Denilson, mmm, he's ok, not consistent enough, one game he's good, the next, hardly notice him. Lets see if he gets more 1st team chances this season then im sure we'll see an improvement.

  13. yep your right Wenger needed to add about 3-4 new players to his squad at the end of last season so he sold Flamini, Hleb, Gilberto and i think someone else oh and Hoyte is going as well so he got rid of Arsenals very few experienced players and now has replaced them with very young ones......... Ramsey, Nasri and the german guy. So Wenger has sold 4-5 players and bought 3, so Arsenals squad is smaller and even younger.

    We will win Fu_k all

  14. I'm very happy that we can grind out results, even with the younger members like Denilson and Ramsey playing. All this away from home in Europe, no easy feat.

  15. Clive Tilysely once said ''it dosent matter how or by how many, they got the result they needed anything else is a bonus''

    :)

I agree with him the Gunners got the result they wanted and needed no questons asked :)

  16. Looks like Arsene has great trust in the players we had in midfield last night. He trusts the youngsters like Denilson. To be honest i'm not a big fan of Eboue myself, I don't know why. I'm happy that the young guys can grind out results like 0-2 yesterday. As they grow older they'll become better and more mature. I think Arsene is giving them the best oppourtunites to show what they can do in games like qualifiers and carling cup type.  :]

  17. A little disappointed but a win is a win at the end of the day and we have a 2 goal cushion. i agree about eboue, i don't think he is good enough but denilson is still young and will improve. it will be interesting to see who the player is that wenger says he will bring in before the return leg.

i trust wenger though, he knows what he is doing!

  18. I'll take a 2-0 lead anytime. Better than 0-0, and you know who I am referring to.

  19. Eboue is a good player, I don't understand the bad reception he gets from Arsenal fans. Hand him over to us if you want, I'd happily take him!

  20. i know that we as gooners have come to expect the great football we normally play but as long as we score goals it doesn't matter to me how we play.
