Arsenal Star Samir Nasri interested in Lyon, Manchester City show interest
Arsenal is already going through a dilemma as the Spanish Champions, Barcelona, are trying to get their captain, Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas has been reported to have said time and time again that he wanted to go to the Catalan club, Barca and wanted to play along with his old friends, Lionel Messi and Gerrard Pique.
The Spanish midfielder, Fabregas, said in public that he wanted to join the Spanish club and win trophies. Later on, Barcelona made a bid for the Arsenal captain while the Gunners demanded “too high a price” for the Spaniard. Barcelona still kept on negotiating with the Arsenal management but no final conclusion was made. However, the Barcelona players kept on commenting about how they want Fabregas to be a part of their team and how he is going to be a big asset for their side.
During the FIFA World Cup 2010, eight Barcelona players were part of the Spanish squad and so was Cesc Fabregas. All the players tried to motivate him to come to their club and they even “forced” him to wear a Barcelona T-shirt after winning the final match against the Dutch. It was Fabregas who played the through-ball to the Barcelona man, Andres Iniesta, who made no mistake and scored the winner for his country as the Spaniards were crowned as World Champions for the first time in the history of the game.
Recently, Andres Iniesta told the press that he would not really want Fabregas to come to Barca because of the fact that he needs to win trophies for Arsenal. He told the press that Fabregas should keep the Arsenal fans close to his heart and win a few trophies for them and then come to the Spanish club after a year. At the moment, according to a local news-paper in Spain, Cesc Fabregas has already negotiated his “personal terms” with Barcelona, however he is still waiting for the clubs to strike and sign a deal.
Just like Cesc Fabregas, Arsenal is now facing another dilemma about their player, Samir Nasri. Nasri, apparently, is reported to have said that he is not happy in England and is troubled with the weather and wants to “go back home”, just like his team’s captain Cesc Fabregas.
Reports say that he might make a move to the French team Lyon, who were a part of the Champion’s League this season, and were able to knock-out the very “dangerous”, Real Madrid. An addition of a right winger in the French side would be definitely something that Lyon should look forward to because they don’t have many players that can help them win the Champion’s League. Lyon actually had a pretty good season this year but they are still looking forward to recruiting players.
On the other hand, Manchester City is trying to hijack the Arsenal starlet as he tries to make a move out of Arsenal. Reports that an initial value of 22 million pounds has been offered to the Gunners, but no one can be too sure as yet. Manchester City, this year round, has been recruiting too many players and is becoming a force that should be feared by many clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspurs, Liverpool, Manchester United and even the English Champions, Chelsea. Manchester City already has a very strong forward line-up but an addition of Samir Nasri as a right winger would definitely strengthen their squad.
No one is too sure whether Nasri would want to leave the Gunners for Lyon or even Manchester City. There is no point for Nasri to leave Arsenal and join Manchester City as Arsenal is a part of the Champion’s League already as Manchester city is only in the “race” to win a spot in the “top four”.
