Arsenal and Tottenham battle for Lorient’s Gameiro, Elmohamady looking for permanent Sunderland move

Arsenal and Tottenham fight for Lorient’s Kevin Gameiro
London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to compete for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721, the Lorient striker. The French international has been very impressive for both club and country; he managed to find the back of the net 17 times in just 26 appearances for
Lorient and made two appearances for the French national side.
Sources reveal Arsenal are closer to signing the 23-year-old striker even though Tottenham were the first team to approach him. The Gunners are reportedly willing to pay £15 million in a deal which will see the young Frenchman arrive at the Emirates Stadium
over the summer.
However, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will not give up without a fight. Tottenham are in desperate need of a decent striker, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639 most likely
leaving at the end of the season due to lack of first team football.
That leaves Redknapp with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359, both of whom are injury prone. Their lack of firepower was displayed perfectly in the 3-1 shock loss to Blackpool on Tuesday. The recent defeat will have left the Tottenham boss as determined as ever
to beat Arsenal to Gameiro’s signature.
Unfortunately for Harry Redknapp and Tottenham though, at this point Arsenal are in a better position to sign the French striker. The fact that the Gunners signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 from the Ligue 1 side last summer might also affect the club’s decision as
to which side of London they let their star striker go to.
Ahmed Elmohamady hopeful for a permanent move to Sunderland
Ahmed Elmohamady, the 23-year-old Egyptian winger, revealed he was hopeful about making a permanent move to English Premier League side Sunderland. The youngster joined the Black Cats last season on loan from local side ENPPI and is now
determined to make a more permanent move as the end of the season fast approaches.
The Egyptian has featured in 18 games in the Premier League so far this season and has managed to impress in that short while. Even though the winger has attracted interest from other Premier League sides he is determined to stay at the Stadium of Light.
Elmohamady said, “I think I'll be a better player here next season, too, with more games. I'll have learned a lot by then. I've had a great time here at Sunderland. There’s been no problem, everything here is perfect. The football is very different to how
it is in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Egypt-c2890. The Premier League is the best league in the world. It's quick and strong.”
