Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie believes he can score against anyone – Premier League Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 strongly believes that he now has the ability to score against just about any opposition.
The striker has been in fine form this season and he seems to be getting even better as the time passes. Van Persie has now managed to score a very impressive nine goals in his last five matches and he continued that fine form against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, this past
weekend. The striker managed to bag a hat trick against the Blues and in doing so became the new leader in the Premier League goal standings.
Van Persie has almost always been criticised as a player who has a lot of potential, but one who just can’t seem to show that cutting edge in front of the goal. However, the thirty three goals that he has scored in the thirty seven matches he has played
in 2011, says otherwise.
Irrelevant to what the critics say about him, or how they look at him, the player feels that he is currently experiencing the best form of his life and that he can now score against any team on any day, given he gets the right support from his team.
When talking about his form, the mercurial forward is quoted to have said: "For me it’s just the best feeling to have. It doesn’t really matter against who we play, we always create chances so that means I always have a go. Then it’s up to me to score.”
"I’ll miss chances, but I’ll score them as well. To have that feeling is one of the best things in life.”
Arsenal are now sitting on a five match win streak and the way they are playing, it seems like only a matter of time before the team re-enters the top four once again. The team is also on top of their Champions League group and seem to be almost certain
to make it into the next round of the tournament.
The striker then went on to talk about Arsenal and the form that they have been showing, as he went on to add: "I think we’ve been having a good run for almost two months now. A bit quiet, not many people have noticed it.
"But we won eight games out of nine and to win this one sets a standard. Everyone realises we can now do it against any team."
Van Persie then hailed the Gunners performance against Chelsea this past weekend, as he admitted it was Unbelievable to score five goals at the Stamford Bridge, but he hopes the team can continue performing at the level they have now established.
