Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood vows to offer Arsene Wenger support in the transfer market – Premier League News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 chairman Peter Hill-Wood has gone on to assure the clubs fans that he will be offering manager Arsene Wenger a hundred percent support in the transfer market, in order to ensure the team wins some form of silverware this season.
Hill-Wood had previously been insistent over the fact that the Gunners did not need to re-think their strategy in the transfer market, mainly because of the fact that the team had been making profits and was doing half decent in their performances.
Nonetheless, given the way the fans had been reacting to the club and the way they were conducting themselves, it appears like Hill-Wood has caved in and is now going to be open to a lot of changes.
Arsenal had almost always been the sort f team that would not go all the way while trying to land a player and this has resulted in the team missing out on a number of great signings in the past.
It now seems like the board is more than keen on spending money on some new recruits and at the same time, they are going to be willing to offer Arsene Wenger their complete support, irrelevant of what player the manager is looking to bring in at the club.
Hill-Wood, when talking about his plans for the future and the way he wants to help the club out is quoted to have said: "The provision of funds to invest in the team, which we did in the summer, we will do again.”
"Let me make it clear that we are all seeking on-the-field success.
"Our goals are to compete for various titles and be in the Champions League, which we have done for 14 years. It remains our focus.
"We remain committed to our self-sustaining model, convinced that this is the right way forward for the club. It means our future is in our own hands."
The Gunners started of their current season in a very forgettable manger, but since then, the team has started to pick itself up and has been producing some brilliant displays on the pitch.
All the players that were signed in the summers seem to finally be fitting in at the club perfectly and the team looks to be at the level that they were known to possess.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be a very interesting wait till the January transfer window, just to see what players the Gunners try to bring in, in order to reinforce the team.
