It seems like Arsenal are certain that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 will stay at the club and believe that the forward is going to extend his contract with the club in the near future.
So far, no talks have taken place between the club and the forward, but based on Arsene Wenger’s assumption, the twenty eight year old is going to go ahead and put pen to paper on a new deal in the near future.
Peter Hill-Wood, when talking about the Dutch international’s status is reported to have said: "We haven’t talked to Robin yet, but I spoke to Arsene (Wenger) recently. He is very confident he will stay and I very much hope he will, he has had a wonderful
season with us"
On the other hand, Wenger seems to be more focused on the current game at hand, as opposed to the forward’s contract extension. However, the manager did admit that he would go on and look into the matter once the season came to an end.
The Gunners boss is quoted to have said: "We have a massive game in front of us, but I feel we are focused, switched on. I am confident we will do well"
"For us it is just to find the right mixture - to be focused, combative and relaxed, and especially be faithful to play our football like we want to.”
"At the end of the day it will be down to playing well, no matter what is at stake."
The North London clubs manager then went on to claim that he was not holding talks with anyone at the moment and insisted that his prime focus was to win the last game of the season, which would ensure that his team finish in the third spot and once that
was done with, then he would look at building his squad.
At the moment, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are being linked with a number of players, but considering how reluctant Wenger is over talking about them, it is going to be a wait till after the current season, to see just who ends up moving to the Emirates.
