Arsenal are currently contemplating the possibility of letting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 leave for Zenit on loan, till the end of the season.
Over the course of the current season, Arsenal’s Russian assassin Andrei Arshavin has gone on to fall out at the Emirates.
The attacker’s performances haven’t been of the level that everyone has come to expect from him and he hasn’t managed to make any impact on the team, or its performances this time around.
With Arshavin now being thirty years old, many believe Arsene Wenger is set to let the player leave sooner, rather than later.
However, with the team contemplating the player’s future, it seems like they might just be given a life line from Zenit.
The Russian side that Arshavin left to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in 2009 is still interested in their former player and are willing to bring the player back on a loan deal.
The Russian club’s general director went on to confirm that Zenit were interested in the Gunner and that they were wondering whether they should attempt making a move for the player as part of a loan deal, or if they should go in and bring him back on a
permanent basis.
“Arshavin would interest us in terms of having him on loan,” the club’s general director, Maxim Mitrofanov, told the Russian media.
“[Besides helping Zenit in the league] Andrei would also be well prepared for the upcoming Euro 2012 finals.”
“The question is what Arsenal really want - would they want a loan deal?”
Despite the transfer window having closed in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 till then.
Zenit have also confirmed that they already made initial contact about the move with Arsenal, but believe that it is now up to the North London club to decide just how they want to go about the offer.
The club’s director then went on to add: “We had [initial] talks with them”
“Let's see how they respond now.”
It is now going to be a wait to see just what Arsenal want to do and whether they want to let Arshavin leave the team just yet.
