although it is true we used to win nearly all our games 1 - 0 ....do we not now sing it refering to the slices of pizza fergie got in the mush at pizzagate ,lmao  fergie 1 (pepperoni)- arsenal 0

We used to sing it a lot in the George Graham days, with Seaman , Bould, Adams, Dixon and Winterburn at the back we used to be solid and then get the Mers and Wrighty to grab us a goal then hang onto the 1-0 lead. It was sometimes boring but it worked! (Hence the chant "boring, boring Arsenal", which we now sing when we're playing good football for irony) I personally prefer playing good football and not winning loads (or any) trophies. (Although I hope we win something soon!)

It was an ironic dig at all the people who had criticized them for playing really boring football and winning 1-0 all the time.  In the 70's/80's they did just that, better than a sleeping pill anyday.
