Arsenal full-back Andre Santos believes he is finally adapting to life in the Premier League
Arsenal full back and Brazilian international, Andre Santos feels like he is finally adjusting to life in the Premier League.
The fullback went on to make the move to the Emirates from Turkish side Fenerbahce near the end of the transfer window this past summer and since then, he has slowly worked his way into the Gunners squad.
Santos went on to score his first Premier League goal for the Gunners in their five goals to three victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and following the win, Santos has admitted that life in the Premier League is quite competitive. However, despite the difference in the style of play to the Turkish league, the defender seems to have finally adjusted to the different style of play and is now looking to go all out, as he produces some brilliant performances for his team.
When talking about life in the Premier League, Santos is quoted to have said: “English football is indeed very different”
However, he went on to reveal that he would look to incorporate the changed into his style of play, rather than change his style of play altogether.
“But I’m adapting well, I’m getting used to playing more at the back and reading the game better. But I will still go forward if I have the opportunity.”
Despite this being the defender’s first season at the club, he has already gone on to score the same number of goals that Gael Clichy scored during his entire career as a Gunners player. This only goes to show that the North London club now possess a defender, who can not only help out with the defence, but can also prove to be very useful while going forward.
Santos soon turned the attention away from his self, as he talked about the additions that were made to the Arsenal side and admitted that the new players have finally adjusted to the league and the team.
“I think all our new signings integrated really well into the team, the squad is of high quality and I hope to make a difference to Arsenal’s campaign,” the 28-year-old continued.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 then ended by stating that the Gunners deserved to be in the top four and it was now only a matter of improving on the base they had established, in order to make that dream a reality.
Santos then ended by adding: “The top four is where http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 deserves to be.”
“I hope we can improve with every round to climb the table and keep pushing forward.”
