Arsenal future watch: Arsene Wenger moves – EPL special
There has been enough written about the winless years that have elapsed at Arsenal Football Club and the lack of any jubilation for their fans at the Emirates Stadium. The summer transfer window is coming to a close and only has last few weeks to go. But,
one is forced to wonder that with all that has been making the headlines for Arsene Wenger’s team, will it be enough to revive their fortunes?
Arsenal were looking good throughout the season until the near end when everything seemed to fall apart. On the other hand, they managed to come close to winning the League Cup. For a change, the club finally seemed to have taken an interest in the tournament
but their falling at the last step was a shock that is bound to bring back sour memories for the club’s supporters.
If we have to summarize the Gunners’ issues that resulted in their drop from title chasers and down to number four on the table, it will have to be plain and simple. Arsenal just lacked the star power and the quality players to see them through. This is
the biggest dilemma that faces Arsene Wenger and he will have to address it right away.
By the end of the summer transfer period, we could very well see Wenger to have taken either of the two available routes. He could go his usual way and not spend any money and have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 be the regular selling club, or, he could sell his top players and
replace them and look to inject some freshness in to the side.
Selling of Gael Clichy early on looks like a good deal. With what has been happening in the grapevine, it looks certain that Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri will be on their way to the exit door as well. The way things are moving Wenger looks like a different
man altogether. He actually looks like a buying a manager for a change – trust me it is heartening to see as well.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360’s move to Manchester City should be realised soon and it is believed that the negotiations are entering the final stages.  At first, the sense of disappointment creeps in but in the longer run it is not a bad move at all. Selling off a player
who is in his last year of contract with the club and that too for a hefty price tag of £20 million is a good financial move for sure. When on song, Nasri is probably one of the best players on the entire continent.
But then again, how many times has he really been able to sing for Arsenal and make it count? Sadly enough, his shows of brilliance have been too rare to make any solid impact.
Wenger looks set to sign on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755. Some critics have argued that the Ivorian player might be ineffective in the English Premier League. However, he is a good signing for sure and Wenger can gain from his services.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aly-Cissokho-c5313 is the player that is on his way to be inserted as a replacement for Clichy. It is Wenger’s usual ploy. He will replace his player with a younger French player and that too at a nominal price. It may seem like a norm but one has to agree that
Cissokho is not that bad of a player. He should prove to be effective for Arsenal and strengthen the back-end of the lineup.
Juan Mata’s signing has to be termed as the most interesting of Wenger’s move this summer. The world cup winner possesses the right attitude and is the player to take the club forward. The recently concluded under-21 European Championships highlight his

The exits and the entries will be part of parcel of the way Arsenal works. The names that will come in will matter more. The club has all the ingredients to come back on the winning ways. Wenger’s signings may not be influential immediately as some of the
other major clubs have had a better pool of players joining them this summer. But whatever may be the case, Arsenal will be backed by their tradition and can always pose a challenge to the title if not win it ultimately.
Let us look for the answer we put up initially. Wenger’s moves may not get him the ultimate winning formula, but, they are in the right direction for sure.
