Arsenal insiders convinced Cesc Fabregas to leave Emirates for Barcelona
It is being reported that Arsenal are finally coming to terms with the fact that they might have to part ways with their Spanish World Cup winner, Cesc Fabregas.
The team has apparently gone on to place a price tag of around thirty-five million pounds on the midfielders head and it seems even Arsene Wenger won’t stand in his way, should he decide to pursue a move to Barcelona.
The midfielder has gone on to express his concerns about the team and the philosophy that it has been following in the past, which has seen the team go into their sixth year without a trophy.
As a result, the insiders at the club now feel that the Spaniard is a sure shot to part ways with the team, despite still having four years left on his current contract with the Gunners.
The twenty-three year old midfielder was on the verge of joining Barcelona at the start of the current season, but an offer worth around thirty million pounds was turned down by the North London club.
An insider at the club is quoted to have said, “There is a feeling Cesc has gone as far as he can with Arsenal”.
“He has been with us eight years and believes he has shown great loyalty.
The team will finish the season empty-handed again and he fears that situation will not change”.
Fabregas was signed from Barcelona’s youth system at the start of the 2003 season. Since then the player slowly worked his way into the squad and slowly but surely became one of the key players in the team.
Five years after being with the team, the midfielder was named captain of the club in November 2008 and since has gone on to up his game tremendously. So far the player has made a massive three hundred and three appearances for the team, while scoring fifty-seven
goals and claiming a hundred assists along the way.
Despite the players statistics being highly impressive, his overall contributions to the team are even more vital than shown in statistics. The midfielder not only runs the show, but is the player around whom the team is centred and for this very reason,
most experts are stating the player’s potential move to Barcelona, may not be intelligent.
The player under no circumstances is going to be the main man at Barcelona – with those honours going to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, which means that the player will have to spend quality time trying to adapt to life in a completely different setting.
At the same time, there seems to be no space for the midfielder in the Barcelona midfield. With the likes of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta still going strong, it would be a shocker if Fabregas even made the starting eleven.
Nonetheless, with the player already having stated in the past that perhaps a move to Barcelona is what he wants, he is more than likely to bounce at the opportunity to make the switch to the club that nurtured him when he was learning his trade.
