24-year old, Falcao is considered to be a perfect replacement for Bendtner and Vela, and has a proven goal-scoring record for club and country.
After starting his professional career with the Argentinean side, River Plate, Falcao has now become one of Europe’s deadliest strikers.
Falcao joined Porto in 2009 and now has a hefty price tag attached to his name, which may turn out to be a stumbling block in the deal as “Dragoes” are in no way going to allow the striker to leave at a cheap price.
Falcao is a dynamic striker and has the ability of scoring from both feet and is recognized for his mindblowing agility.
The Colombian joined River Plate as a 15-year old and made his senior team debut in 2005, in which he scored 11 goals. After a great debut at River, he scored 23 goals in the 2008 season and was sold to F.C Porto in the summer of 2009.
It was widely thought that the young Colombian will take some time to settle down in the Portuguese league, but the youngster turned out to be one of the best signings made by Porto, as he helped Porto to the Portuguese title and the League Cup. The 24-year
old finished his first season at Porto with a whooping 34 goals in just 43 games and won the Top Scorer award.
The Colombian was also honoured with the award for the best goal of the League in last season’s UEFA Champions League, and is surely going to be a great signing if Arsene Wenger brings him on.
