Arsenal land Andre Santos from Fenerbache – Premier League Update
It is being reported that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have gone on to confirm the signing of Brazilian full back, Andre Santos. The Brazilian international who played for Fenerbache is now set to make his way to the Emirates to complete his medical within the coming few hours.
The Gunners went on to lose Gael Clichy to Manchester City earlier in the transfer window and were then left with Gibbs and Armand Traore as their only options. However, Traore is now set to complete a move to Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 soon and as a result, the
Gunners were only going to be left with Gibbs as their left back. Gibbs has had a number of injury problems in the past and hence the Gunners opted to make a move for a new full back in the transfer window.
The team was being linked with a number of defenders, but it seems like the twenty eight year old is now the team’s player of choosing.
The defender was put off by the fact that Fenerbache weren’t going to be playing in the Champions League this coming season, which is why he was open to make a move to Arsenal.
At the moment, a fee around the region of six and a half million pounds seems to be the price that has been agreed between the two teams to bring the player to London and based on the experience that he has acquired over the years, that fee seems to be a
bargain.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 is a complete full back to say the least. He can pass, shoot, dribble, tackle, cross and his presence on the pitch is quite phenomenal. Considering the fact that he has been playing a passing game all his life, Wenger feels that he is the ideal fit
for  his squad and that he would be able to help out the younger defenders at the club, by acting like a mentor for them.
