Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Manchester United might end the season trophy-less

Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, believes that Manchester United might end up winning nothing come the end of 2010/11 season.
United are placed on top of the Premier League table with a three point lead over second placed Chelsea. The Red Devils also have one foot in the final of the UEFA Champions League after winning the first-leg of the semi-final 2-0 against Schalke’04. The second-leg of the clash will be played at the Old Trafford on May 4, 2011.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will face Chelsea in their next league game in a potential title decider. The winner of the game will claim the top spot in the league table and with only three matches left to play, it is expected to go down to the wire.
Wright praised Chelsea for a remarkable turnaround in the last two months, as their hopes of winning the title were written-off after trailing the league leaders by 15 points in March.
However, the former striker believes that it would be some achievement if Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, manages to win a double of Premier League and Champions League for the second time in his managerial career having also won a treble in the 1998/99 season.
Talking to the reporters Wright said, "And it would be some effort if this legend of a manager is holding both the Premier League and Champions League crowns when he reaches that amazing landmark. But I believe United could end the season with absolutely nothing. That their season could end in tears. They find themselves in a terrific position against Schalke for [Wednesday's] Champions League semi-final, second leg.”
“United are also three points clear of their nearest challengers in the League which ordinarily, with just three games to go, would be an incredibly strong position.” Added the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 star
The 47-year-old believes that neither of the title contenders played like Champions and dropped too many points throughout the season. The former Celtic star also added that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s experienced squad might help them in lifting the trophy at the end of the season.
