Arsenal legend Ian Wright hit’s out at the Gunners board and their transfer policy
Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has gone on record to finally admit to the mess that Arsenal now find themselves in.
The former striker for the North London team seems to be highly disappointed with the transfer policy that the Gunners have deployed and isn’t very happy with what has happened following Gael Clichy’s departure to Manchester City.
Apart from Clichy, at the moment http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Cesc Fabregas are also rumoured to be edging to a move out of the club and all these rumours seem to have finally gotten to Wright, who has had enough of the Gunner’s policies.
Wright, who in the past scored a hundred and eighty five goals for the Gunners, went on to admit that should Arsenal keep their act up, they would find it close to impossible to attracting the top talents in the world.
Wright, who feels Arsenal are now nothing more than Manchester City’s feeder club, is quoted to have said: "Gael Clichy's move to Manchester City wouldn't bother me much in normal circumstances as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kieran-Gibbs-c20945 is coming through nicely.
"But now it looks like Samir Nasri is set to join him.
Wright then continued by stating:
"With Cesc Fabregas looking a goner to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 too, it's very, very sad to see. How on earth will Arsene Wenger attract any top players to Arsenal?
"It's come to something when a player like Clichy feels Arsenal is not good enough for him anymore. He can see that Man City is going to be challenging for top trophies next season."
Wright then went on to address the one issue that everyone has feared to talk about. He talked about Arsene Wenger and how his management style required him to be shook up every now and then.
Wright added: "Wenger is still the right man for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 but he needs proper backing and I do feel that sometimes he needs a good shaking."
However, the former Arsenal striker wasn’t done just there. He then turned his attention to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 should try and deploy their transfer strategies based on how the Blues do business.
He then went on to add that maybe Arsenal should try and target seasoned veterans, such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184, both of whom have proven that they are more than just decent players.
Nonetheless, it seems like Wright has finally managed to nail down on the problems at Arsenal and there is nothing anyone would state to argue with him.
Hopefully, Arsene Wenger manages to hear/read what Wright has said and will then go on to rethink his actions over the course of the coming weeks.
