Arsenal looking to bring in Simon Kjaer
Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger is reported to be looking to finally bring in some positive reinforcements at the back. The manager has been looking around for a quality centre back for a while and it seems like the manager has finally settled on a player.
The player that the manager is looking to bring in is none other than Wolfsburg’s star defender, Simon Kjaer.
The Danish international made the move to the German team this past summer, but has often been left on the sidelines despite his terrific displays. The player as a result has managed to grow in frustration over the course of the season and has often been
caught saying that he is not sure about his future at the club anymore.
Kjaer who is still only twenty one years old has been on Wenger’s radar for quite some time now. However the manager managed to fall short on his bid for the player this past summer and as a result the player opted to move to Wolfsburg instead. However prior
to his move to the German out-fit the player managed to complete two seasons with Palermo and his brilliant performances with the club didn't go unnoticed.
Nonetheless, as a result of the player spending more time on the sidelines then he would like, the players manager has been reported to be already in the market to try and look for alternative clubs for Kjaer. Apart from the fact that the player does not
see much field time, he has also grown in concern about the team’s future as Wolfsburg are currently in the thirteenth spot in the German Bundesliga and aren’t looking to be on their way up any time soon.
On the other hand, Arsenal have been doing desperately well so far this season. The only set back that the team has, is the fact that a majority of the teams players end up getting injured far too often, specially the centre backs. As a result Arsenal have
gone on to drop precious points due to the lack of defensive reinforcements.
According to most experts a move for the player is going to set Arsenal back around twelve million pounds or so. However having made a giant profit previously, this signing would only prove to be a small dent in Arsenals funding.
