Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to spend Arsenal’s hard earned profit as he is planning a move for Wolfsburg’s want away striker Edin Dzeko.
The manager has been reported to reshape the team’s attack and make it much more versatile and he feels like the Bosnian international and current captain of the German side, is the player who can help him do just that. However, at the same time the manager
is also aware of the fact that if he is to move in for the player, then he is going to have to break the bank and make the biggest and most expensive signing in the club’s history.
At the moment, the Arsenal attacking line-up despite being as lethal as it is, seems to be having its fair share of problems. The strikers possess all the talent in the world, but their rather average body play, is what has caused Arsenal problems against
teams with aggressive defenders. The strikers are muscled off the ball far too many times and as a result, the team has failed to score a number of goals over the course of the last couple of years.
Arsenal did manage to land the services of Marouane Chamakh this season, but according to Wenger, that signing was just the first step in ending the five-year trophy-less drought. Dzeko has proved over the course of the last couple of seasons to be one of
the most lethal players in Europe and other than being one of the most physically present and dominant players on the pitch, he has proven that he has rather good footwork for someone his size. All of those abilities along with his ability to find the back
of the net from almost any angle are just what Arsenal need to boost their team and help them become trophy winners.
Wolfsburg had recently placed a whopping price tag of forty million pounds on their prized asset, however with the player now looking to push away for a move, experts are suggesting that Arsenal will be able to bag the player for almost half that price.
Arsenal fans will be looking to Wenger to land the player as early as January, however the chances of the player coming to Arsenal in the summers are more likely than the ones indicating a switch for the player in the winters.
