It is being reported that Arsenal are currently looking to make a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theodor-Gebre-Selassie-c34876, as the team is looking to try and invest in some defenders for the future.
The defender was on show in the Euro 2012 an went on to put on a very commendable performance. He made some brilliant tackles and interceptions during the competition and his performances seem to have caught the eye of the Gunners.
He also went on to face off against the Portuguese attackers and managed to keep them at bay for the most part. This itself tells us that he has the potential to go on and become one of the best full backs out there.
The Gunners are apparently willing to pay as much as seven million pounds for his transfer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bacary-Sagna-c7148 at the back, but both those players have had their fair share of injury problems in the past.
Both Sagna and Gibbs went on to miss a major portion of last year’s campaign and this saw the team stutter in their absence.
Karl Jenkinson is another full back that the team have at their disposal, but he is currently way too young and inexperienced to be a part of the first team.
As a result, it seems like the team is willing to go on and bring in another full back, just to fill in the void that has been created at the club.
Selassie might seem like an odd choice for the team, but given Wenger’s ability to find a diamond in the rough, he could prove to be the real deal.
At the same time, we need to consider the fact that the team is willing to pay a very huge fee for his transfer, considering how unknown he is to the world of football.
Most critics believe that it would be a wise move for the team to bring in a new full back, given the injury prone players the team currently has and looking at the fact, that Sagna has broken his leg twice in one season.
