Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, wants his team to bounce back after Carling Cup final defeat to Birmingham City
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has challenged his players to bounce back from the disappointing Carling Cup final defeat against Birmingham City and has reminded them that there are three more trophies left to win.
Wenger said, “Of course, there is disappointment in the dressing room but the players are united, have a strong bond and are determined to go for the massive challenges we have in front of us. We cannot let our motivation level or our confidence level drop
because of that because of the massive targets we have in front of us.”
Arsenal lost the Carling Cup final against Birmingham City by two goals to one last Sunday –squandering the golden opportunity of ending six-year trophy drought. The Gunners were without the services of their talismanic skipper, Cesc Fabregas, and speedy
winger, Theo Walcott, in the League Cup final. Arsenal conceded the first goal when Birmingham City’s towering striker, Nicola Zigic, headed the ball from a set piece.

won the first leg in the Champions League [against Barcelona].”
