http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to admit that he has taken a massive risk by making a move for Joel Campbell.
The nineteen year old forward has gone on to impress the manager, due to his performances in the Under – 20 World Cup and as a result, he was recruited by the team. However, with him not having played football for any top level team, it is still uncertain
as to how he will perform for the team.
Wenger, when talking about Campbell and his signing is quoted to have said: “Joel is a young prospect, he has talent and he can play right, left or centrally.”
The manager then went on to admit that signing the forward was definitely a gamble, but it was one that could prove to be worth taking.
"We took a gamble on him but, from what we have seen, it is worth taking.”
Wenger then went on to highlight his summer signings, as he went on to add:
"Campbell could join the club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Oxlade-Chamberlain have joined the club and people forget that. You can see that Gervinho has had a big impact as well.”

Following the departure of Cesc Fabregas to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Wenger has been put under the microscope. Almost every single Arsenal fan has been asking the manager to go ahead and spend the money that he inherited from Fabregas’s sale and bring in a decent player
or two. At the same time, the manager has also been criticized by the fee that he agreed to letting the player go.

When talking about Fabregas and his rather cheap departure from the club, Wenger is quoted to have said:  "Sometimes you feel the reputation of the player is punished by the fact he did not have a massive transfer fee.”
Nonetheless, the manager seems to finally be on the move in the transfer market. Wenger has admitted that he is looking forward to spending money in the transfer window and is not going to be shy with his wallet this time around.
The Gunners are currently in desperate need to bring in positive reinforcements in almost every area of the team. The team needs defensive reinforcements, a strong experienced midfielder and a striker, who can fill in for Van Persie when he gets injured.
All in  all, should Wenger be able to bring in just the right amount and type of players, Arsenal will be able to contest for a number of titles this season.
