Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Barcelona not cheats and hails Lionel Messi
Arsenal manger, Arsene Wenger, has gone on to hail Lionel Messi, following his exceptional performances of late and has gone on to state that he strongly disagrees with the theory that Barcelona cheat their way to picking up wins.
The manager’s comments came shortly after both Real Madrid and Barcelona started accusing each other of being cheats, following the teams encounter in the UEFA Champions League semi-final this past week, which the Catalans won by a score-line of two goals
to nil.
Nonetheless, following the game Jose Mourinho, the Madrid manager, went on to claim that Barcelona received favourable treatment from match officials and the team were yet to win a clean Champions League title under Pep Guardiola.
One of the prime reasons for Mourinho to be ticked off was due to the surplus simulations that the Barca players were pulling off in the game. However, the Catalans got their gimmicks down to perfection when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869 early
in the second-half and due to Mourinho’s outburst on the side-lines, he was banned from the touchline and sent to the stands.
However, Arsene Wenger has gone on to state that Mourinho might have been a little out of line in making those comments. The manager stated this despite the fact that he is suffering a one match ban, for an outburst after his side crashed out to Barcelona
earlier in the tournament, which most people believe only happened due to the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 was shown a red card, which had no real conviction to it at all.
Wenger when talking about the situation is reported to have said, "It's difficult for me to comment on that because we were involved in a situation like that.
This season, they [Barcelona] certainly had some advantages. I feel that they were accidental.
I feel that they over-react, certainly, but they play certainly the best football at the moment in Europe and you have to give them credit for that".
Wenger then turned his attention to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 and stated that he was easily the best player in the world. When talking about the forward, Messi is reported to have said, “When a guy scores 52 goals in modern football and 25 assists, when you see how difficult
it is to score a goal, you just have to say it is absolutely exceptional what this player is delivering".
At the moment, it would be hard to argue with the fact that Messi is in fact the best player in the world. However, when it comes down to Barcelona, a lot of people are going to have a lot of different opinions. Not everyone is going to agree on mutual grounds
regarding the team any longer.
