Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hails Manchester United forward Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has gone on to hail Manchester United’s Mexican forward, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez and has gone on to highlight the threat that the striker possesses.
The manager has made these comments about the player, only days prior to his team’s meeting with the Red Devils at Old Trafford, in a game that could potentially see Arsenal get their title hopes back on track, or, concede defeat once and for all.
Arsene Wenger went on to state, that Hernandez is the player, who poses the greatest threat to ending his team’s title hopes this term. The twenty-two year old forward has been having a blinder of a season and is also being regarded as the greatest signing
of the Premier League season.
United purchased Hernandez for a mere seven million pounds at the start of the season and probably in their wildest dreams didn’t expect the player to perform at the level that he is performing at.
The striker has made a total of forty-one appearances for the club and has scored nineteen goals for the team so far this season. However, out of those forty-one games, the player has only made sixteen starts, which just goes to show how lethal the player
really is.
Not only has Hernandez gone on to help get http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254, which goes to show that he is now being valued higher at United, then their leading goal scorer.
When talking about Hernandez and how he was potentially on his way to Arsenal, Wenger is reported to have said, “Hernandez has been exceptional".
"He was on our radar - we knew him but I do not want to go into that. He has had a great season”.
"He puts Rooney in a bit of a different role, more of a playmaker, and Rooney can adapt to everything. At the end of the day, it suits Man United. Hernandez plays more the runner and Rooney more the playmaker".
Wenger couldn’t have gotten it any more correct. The inclusion of Hernandez to United’s first-team has seen Rooney adopt more of an attacking midfield role, which has also miraculously helped the striker re-capture his best form, following months of being
at the bottom of the barrel.
In the upcoming clash between Arsenal and United, which is scheduled to take place on May 1st, 2011, the Gunners are going to have to do their best work to man mark Hernandez and hope that they can track his brilliant runs, otherwise it could
be game set and match for United this season.
