Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger highly impressed with Ryo Miyaichi – Premier League Update
Arsenal manager has gone on to admit that he has once again been highly impressed by Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi, following his performance for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the Carling Cup game last night.
The forward came off the bench in the seventy third minute and joined the team when they had a two goals to one advantage over their opponents. However, this did not stop Miyaichi from going all out and covering the entire pitch while helping out with the
attack and with the defence.
The attacker helped the Gunners from maintaining their lead in the dying stages of the game, as he went on to deny http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 from finding the back of the net in stoppage time. Thanks to his efforts late on in the game and the Gunners general performance
on the night, the team is now in the quarter finals of the tournament.
Arsene Wenger, when talking about the youngster and his potential is quoted to have said: "Ryo is a guy with heart. I don't think he played long enough and we were in a position where we had to defend more than we could attack"
"But you could see straight away that his heart, his determination and his pace in the game are big assets."
The manager then went on to reveal that the player had not been making many performances for the team, as he was still nursing an injury and it was going to be a wait for another month or so, till the player was back to full fitness.
"He just had one day training yesterday with the group because he was injured. He worked a lot with the fitness coach," Wenger said.
The manager then went on to put a date on the player’s return to fitness and when he would be “I believe he will be ready at Christmas."
So far Miyaichi has only been making second half substitute appearances for the Gunners. However, he has almost always made a great impact for the team. It is now going to be a wait to see just how he performs, when he is given the opportunity to run the
show in the Premier League.
