Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger keeps faith in title challenge – English Premier League
Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger, has gone on to claim that his team is still capable of lifting the Premier League crown at the end of the season. The manager has stated that despite being six points behind league leaders Manchester United and being level
on points with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, they have a chance to overtake both contenders to secure a first place finish.
The manager also went on to state that at the moment the best thing that him and his squad can do is to keep a hold of their nerves. The manager believes that his team is now in a vicious circle of problems that can only be overcome by keeping the faith
and playing at their level best.
The manager is quoted to have said, "It is a vicious circle problem and you can only deal with that with calmly and by dominating your nerves. I feel what is important is to continue to play whatever the score is. I feel we need to keep our nerves more and
communicate better.”
Wenger at the same time is feeling like the time to believe is now and has stated if his team wins their remaining five games, then they will go on to lift the English Premiership Crown at the end of the season.
However in order to not overwhelm himself and his team, the manager stated that at the moment they were only going to focus on their upcoming game. He also added that his team had not tasted defeat in their last sixteen games and feels that there is yet
hope for his squad.
The manager then concluded by stating, "But the target is to win the next one and let's focus, give absolutely everything to do it. We have played 16 games without losing. What I feel is most important for us is to keep the belief and to win.”
One thing most fans will give Wenger is that he is a strong believer and has unrivalled faith in the Premier League. Had any other manager been in Wenger’s position, he would have most probably achieved mental insanity. The manager has witnessed his team
go clear of their opponents by two or three goals, but then do something rather bizarre and then lose the game, or have to settle for a draw. A good example of this is Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur matches in which the the Gunners gave up comfortable
leads.
Either way, should Arsenal go on to win all five of their remaining games, which include a trip to Old Trafford on the 1st of May, Arsenal’s six year trophy drought could officially come to an end.
