http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager Arsene Wenger reveals Abou Diaby surgery
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to reveal that French midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 has undergone surgery during the summer and as a result, the midfielder will have to sit out the start of the coming Premier League season.
During the course of last season, Diaby had shown signs of his ankle giving way under him time and time again. The player even spent most of last season on the recovery table, but for some reason, just couldn’t get back to a hundred percent. The player went
on to miss out on the team’s pre-season and it has now been revealed, that it was his ankle that caused him to go missing in action.
The manager has gone on to confirm that the player will not be back by September, which means the games against Newcastle, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Manchester United as well as the Champions League Play-Off’s, will be missed by the midfielder.
When talking about the player, on the clubs website, Wenger is quoted to have said: “Abou had ankle surgery during the break”
“Normally he should be back eight to ten weeks after his surgery, which means the end of August.”
At the moment, it seems like the absence of Diaby is going to be the least of Arsenal and its problems. The midfielder is nothing more than a fringe player at the club and is only brought in to fill in for the hole that injured players leave in the club.
The midfielder only excels in using his physic to his advantage, which due to his injuries, seemed almost nonexistent last season. The player now has ample time to get his fitness back up to par and hopefully, when he does make his return to the team in
September, he would be able to contest for a spot in the starting eleven.
The midfielder was being favoured to be amongst the names to be on their way out of the club this season, but it has now become clear that, there was no possibility of that happening, considering the fact that he went under the knife.
