Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has claimed that Jack Wilshere’s participation with England U-21 for the Under-21’s Championship during the summer would make him miss England’s seniour matches at the start of the season.
Arsene Wenger admitted that he will accept FA’s decision about Wilshere but asserted that England would have to make a choice, either to play the midfielder in Under-21, or in the seniour team.
However, Arsene Wenger wants to give Jack Wilshere rest for at least six weeks as the midfielder has marked the most appearances for Arsenal in the ongoing 2010-11 season.
Arsenal manager told the reporters, “Where I stand on it all is that it would be better for him not to play. England have a friendly in August, if the under-21s go to the end of the tournament, I will have to give the player four to six weeks' holiday”.
“That means he might not be available for the friendly, nor for the (Euro 2012) qualifier because he will not be ready and that game is in September. I know I have to respect the holiday period for the players and that is more a calculation which the England
national team has to make”, added Wenger.
Jack Wilshere has been a revelation at Arsenal in the ongoing season and has also been awarded with PFA Young Player of the Year this season.
Wilshere’s impressive form at the club was also awarded with a debut in England senior team and he became the 10th youngest player to play for the Three Lions when he made his debut against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hungary-c2920.
