Arsenal midfielder Denilson joins Sao Paulo on loan deal – Premier League Update
Arsenal midfielder and Brazilian international, Denilson has finally gone on to complete his long awaited move away from the club and to Sao Paulo. The midfielder has returned to Brazil, in order to spend the next season out on loan, playing for Brazilian
club.
Following the conclusion of the season, Denilson has gone on to state that he was looking to move away from the Emirates, following a number of frustrating years with the Gunners. At the same time, the player felt that he really needed to push for titles,
which he didn’t feel was possible at the Emirates.
Denilson joined the Gunners from Sao Paulo in 2006, when he went on to try and pursue a career in Europe. However, it seems that his move out of his motherland, hasn’t really worked for him, as he is now on his way back.
The midfielder has already gone on to state that with his move away from Arsenal, his ideology and targets have also changed. He is now more focused on landing the Brazilian league with Sao Paulo and will do everything in his power to achieve that honour.
Denilson, when talking about his loan move and that what lay ahead of him, is quoted to have said: "I am very pleased to return. I hope the pending issues will soon be solved and I can soon get to play. I want to help Sao Paulo become Brazilian champions"
"I have returned because of my family and Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431. This is the club where I was raised, where I started, who have a very beautiful history. I am realising a dream."
He then went on to talk about life in Arsenal and how he wished to leave all that in the past, as he looked to resolve his career:
"It was complicated [at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429]"
"I was there five years and unfortunately we did not win anything. Now, with my head at Sao Paulo, I think I will do that," the player added.
"I hope to resolve everything as soon as possible to return to work and continue my career here [in Brazil]."
The midfielder is set to receive the number fifteen jersey at the club, which is the same jersey that he wore prior to his move out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
This move back for Denilson is not only going to help him develop even further as a player, but is also going to help the midfielder finally get his confidence back. At the same time, it is going to create space in the Gunners squad for younger players and
hence it seems like everyone turns out to be the winner in this transfer story.
