Jack Wilshere to stay at Arsenal
Young Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere rubbished rumors linking him to big spending English Premier League rivals Manchester City. The 19-year-old is reportedly a target for Manchester City who are willing to pay as much as £40 million to lure
the midfielder to the Eastlands.
Not only are City offering Arsenal £40 million for the midfielder, they are also offering the player £100,000 a week wage, which is double what Wilshere is earning at the Emirates Stadium. As tempting as the offer is, Wilshere does not seem to be interested.
Wilshere recently posted a picture of him kissing the Arsenal badge along with a statement confirming that he intended to stay with the London side. He said, “People asking if im going City? I don’t kiss the Arsenal badge then leave. This club in my heart!”
The England international is a product of the Arsenal youth academy, making his senior debut for the team in 2008. He was used mainly as a substitute in his first two seasons at the club, after making 15 appearances and scoring one goal he was loaned out
to Bolton Wanderers.
Wilshere joined Bolton in the 2010 January transfer window and it was there that he was noticed by England coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello. He rejoined Arsenal at the start of this current campaign and since then has made 41 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing
9 assists.
It comes as no surprise that Manchester City are eyeing Wilshere, he would make an excellent addition to any top side. While he is just 19 years old and still developing, he has the unique ability to play anywhere in midfield.
While speaking to the media, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger described Wilshere’s style of play, “He's a box-to-box player, more than just a holding midfielder. But to be honest he can play in any position across the midfield. He can play behind the striker because
he can penetrate.”
Inter Milan eye Aleksandar Kolarov
Serie A side Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to make a move for Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov in the summer. He is known to be unhappy under Manchester City boss Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and would welcome a return to the Serie A.
The 25-year-old Serbian arrived at the Eastlands from Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 for a fee of £16 million in 2010. Despite being a regular with the Italian side, Kolarov failed to recreate his success at the English Premier League and is looking for a move away.
The former Lazio left-back has made 31 appearances for the Citizens in all competitions and has managed to score 3 goals. However, he has struggled with fitness which has affected his consistency and has put him out of favor with Mancini.
