Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky says will stay at Arsenal – Football news
Arsenal midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 international, Tomas Rosicky has claimed that he has been urged by Arsene Wenger to remain at the Emirates Stadium until his contract comes to an end.
At the moment, a number of teams from around the world are looking to sign the player, with Sparta Prague leading the line. However, the 32-year-old midfielder has revealed that he has already spoken to Arsene Wenger and admitted that he could end up staying
at Arsenal.
“At the end of the season I spoke with the coach and he said he wants me to stay at Arsenal,” Rosicky said. “Of course you never know what can happen, but I should stay. Will I return to Sparta [Prague]? Not yet.”
The midfielder was also an important part of the team in the final few games of the season, as he was able to dictate play and help push the team forward. His contributions helped the Gunners finish in the top four once again, as they secured a spot in the
Champions League one more time.
However, Rosicky feels that despite finishing in the top four, the team needs to change its ways and stop players from leaving in the summers. He feels that this leaves the team subject to having to replace and adapt players to the club, which causes a whole
bunch of problems.
He said, “The table doesn’t lie. When it turns out that way, it’s fair. We’re a club that every summer sees one or two players come in, but we still find ourselves needing to replace someone and it’s always difficult.”
Nonetheless, the player seems hopeful this time around, and feels that this summer, things could take a positive step forward for the club.
“It looks like no one will leave [this summer] and in turn we could have reinforcements. We’d all benefit from that,” he added.
The North London club has already been linked with a move for a number of players. However, we will have to wait and see which player goes on and joins http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 over the summers.
