http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cameroon-c2865 International was installed at midfield and he put up an exceptional show. He was strong at his position and was keen to attack as well. Song was the player to break the shackles and scored the first goal in
44th minute of the first half. It was a tight situation with a lot of rush in the box but somehow he managed to drive the ball in the net. Song was quick and kept producing dazzling assists.
Samir Nasri – 6.5: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 is in good scoring mode however, he could not finish it when he got the chance to give Arsenal a cushion of three goals. Nasri hardly played a role early in the game. Major attacks were from the other flank
and Gunners did not capitalise with Nasri, who was against slow mover http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837. He kept the possession towards the end of the match and that helped
Arsenal to keep Chelsea away from scoring.
Robin Van Persie – 6.0: Robin Van Persie was visibly not 100% and lacked match fitness. He tried his best to produce a goal with his shot but the ball sailed comfortably over the bars. He linked well with the midfielders and by not playing
deep enough he passed the ball smoothly. He was fearless about his fragility and took some decent shots before he was substituted.
Theo Walcott – 7.5: Theo Walcott was another strategic game play by Arsene Wenger. In the normal games Arsenal play, Wenger likes to introduce him around the 70th minute mark but this time he was lined up in the playing eleven.
The trick was to disturb strong http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 backline with his pace and Walcott did exactly that. He had a quiet first half but kept on teasing the defenders. In the second half, he assisted a goal by Fabregas in the 51st minute. He could have tried
it himself but he showed presence of mind by passing it to Fabregas. Just two minutes later he scored himself as he calmly drove the ball into the net.
Substitutes:
Abou Diaby – 6.0: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 in the 73rd minute. The lanky all-rounder can play at different positions but with the two goals lead, Wenger wanted him to be defensive for most of the time. His first touch
nearly paid-off when he broke into the box but could not finish it.
Marouane Chamakh – 6.0: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 in 76th minute. The modus operandi was to control the game from the midfield and that is why Robin Van Persie was not among the goal scorers. Arsenal was hoping
to have an aerial advantage with Chamakh upfront however, he was not much required in the final stages of the game.
