Arsenal target Juan Mata has been contacted by foreign clubs
Spanish international Juan Mata is currently being linked with a move to the Premier League. The forward is currently being pursued by both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and from the looks of things, he is more than likely to be heading out of Valencia.
Mata recently went on to help http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 land the Under-21 European Championships, only a year after he was a part of the senior Spanish squad, which lifted the FIFA World Cup.
The forward is currently under contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 until 2015, however, the team seems to be more than willing to let him leave, should an appropriate offer be made for him.
Mata had previously gone on to admit that he was thoroughly dedicated to Valencia and had no intention of leaving the club. The player stated that his prime target, was to help his team do the very best in the Champions League next season.
However, despite that fact it has now been reported that substantial offers have been made for the Spanish international.
The player’s agent , who also happens to be his father, has now gone on to admit that it is now up to Valencia to decide whether they want to part ways with the winger of not.
Mata Senior is quoted to have said: "There have been calls from foreign clubs - but now the final decisions rests with Valencia and he is on his holidays."
Arsenal have so far shown the most interest in landing the winger. The team had at one point gone on to make an eighteen million pound approach for the player and so far, they face very little competition in landing the player.
Mata seems like the ideal player to join the Emirates. He has pace, the ability to constantly get forward and he is a brilliant passer of the ball. Some are saying that perhaps on the long run, he could be the replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 at the club.
Liverpool and Tottenham are also being rumoured to potentially be contemplating a move for the winger, but so far the duo have made no attempts at landing the player.
Nonetheless, with the window of opportunity now open, all Arsenal need to do is make their bid for the player official and try to work on personal terms before it’s too late.
The team has a tendency on waiting till the last minute to make a move for their targets and so far, that hasn’t really worked to the team’s advantage.
