Arsenal are currently looking to start contract talks with Theo Walcott, as the Gunners look to keep a hold of the forward at the Emirates for as long as they possibly can.
Walcott is amongst the few http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 players, who are set to be without a contract at the end of the coming season.
However, in order to avoid their star players from walking out again, the team is hoping to tie up a deal with everyone, before it’s too late.
As a result, the team has now turned its attention of Walcott, as they hope the player and the club can agree on mutual grounds and in doing so, ensure a contract extension for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international.
At the moment, the talks between the player and the club are in a very early stage and no real offers have been made to Walcott, or his representatives. However, all of that is set to change in the near future, as the team is looking to make the player an offer he can’t refuse.
The only reason Arsenal aren’t pushing forth with this deal just yet, is because they are currently looking to bring in a player or two in the January transfer window. With the team currently focusing all their efforts in that department, they are going to get to formally making offers to Walcott at the end of the month.
Walcott has been a pivotal part of the Gunners squad this season. The player has managed to make an impressive nineteen appearances for the club so far and has also scored two goals along the way.
The forward and his mercurial pace have almost always been an asset to the Gunners and his ability to help Arsenal break with pace, has helped the team win countless games in the past.
It is now up to the player and the club to decide what to do with the England international’s future. However, it seems that should Arsenal continue negotiating with the player the way they have in the past, the forward is going to agree to stick around for a little longer.
