Arsenal to land http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shay-Given-c33284 in summer transfer window
Arsenal are looking forward to land Manchester City’s want away goalkeeper Shay Given in the summers. Arsene Wenger had previously gone on to show interest in landing the player, but Arsenal Manager was shutout when Given was informed that he will not be
going anywhere, anytime soon. However, Wenger has decided that it’s time to bring in a new number one to the Emirates at the end of the season and will retry his luck with Given, with a seven million pound bid.
If Wenger is to make a full-fledged bid for Given, then it is fairly apparent that the team will have to offload the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vito-Mannone-c36276, on the other hand, is more than likely to
be sent out on a loan deal again, even though the player is already loaned out to Hull City. Nonetheless, the Manager is looking to bring in a world class number one to the side, and it seems like after years of not getting a noticeable signing, the Manager
might just pull off a move that would make people think otherwise about his skills in the transfer market.
Despite not having seen a single minute in the Premier League this season, Given is still easily one of the best keepers in the world at the moment. He possesses tremendous reflexes and a ridiculous reach, which makes it close to impossible to getting the
ball past him when he is in goal, and these qualities are exactly what Arsenal are looking for in their keeper.
There is still one obstacle in Wenger’s path in landing the keeper though. Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, who is the Manager at Manchester City, has gone on to state that he will not allow any of his players leave for a team who are currently competing with City. But,
with the summers soon to be here, the Manager might think otherwise.
Given, who started thirty five of the thirty eight matches that City played last term, has been pretty much rotting on City’s bench this term. This has led to a lot of people questioning Mancini’s capabilities to maintaining a relationship with his players.
However, if the player is finally allowed to leave at the end of the season, then perhaps Given could resurrect his career, while helping Arsenal stabilize theirs.
