Arsenal to make move for Lyon’s Yoann Gourcuff in January – Premier League Update
It is being reported that Arsenal are going to be making a move for Lyon playmaker and French international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 in the January transfer window.
The Gunners previously expressed their interest in landing the player this past summer, but due to the midfielder undergoing a surgery, the team backed off and turned their attention elsewhere.
Nonetheless, it now seems like Lyon might be more than happy to do business, since the team have come forth and admitted that some star players would be sold in order to balance the books at the club.
The twenty five year old French international had been the talk of the town prior to his move to Lyon, where he just doesn’t seem to be fitting in.
Arsenal on the other hand are currently desperate to land a talented midfielder, due to the injuires that their current players have suffered and in order to try and find a competent Cesc Fabregas replacement.

It now seems like Arsenal are not going to wait around and watch the team fall apart, as they are looking to make a very sound bid for Gourcuff. The team is looking to make an offer of around twenty million pounds for the player and looking at that figure
and the situation that the team is in, Lyon might just be forced to sell.
Should Gourcuff come into the side, then he would add a sense of stability in the heart of the Gunners squad, while providing experience, which could prove to be the difference to the North London club finishing in the top or the bottom half of the Premier
League table.
All in all, it seems like Arsenal are set to make some massive improvements to their squad and Gourcuff might just be the first piece of the puzzle.
