Arsenal have gone on to confirm that they are set to release a number of players, as they look to create space in the team for new signings.
The North London club are set to release as many as seven players, with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Almunia-c23386 and Hoyte being a part of that list.
Out of the list of players which show just who Arsenal are going to release, Almunia and Hoyte are the only ones to have featured in any first team matches for the team.
Almunia went on to make a hundred and seventy five appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 during his stay with the team.
Despite seeming like an interesting prospect early on, Almunia soon became the source of all of Arsenal’s problems at the back.
The keeper seemed to do more harm to the team then good and it seems like the club have finally had enough of the Spaniard and his goal keeping antics.
On the other hand, Hoyte managed to make only four appearances for the North London club and spent most of his time away on loan, with various clubs.
However, with the team seemingly now having no use for these players and with them not wanting to waste their career, they are allowing them to part ways with the club, in hopes for them to salvage their careers elsewhere.
A statement released by the club, which talked about the players who were going to be leaving the club is reported to have said: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to take this opportunity to thank http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383, George, Gavin, Sean, Rhys, James and Jeffrey for their
contribution towards the Club and wish them well in their future careers.”
It seems like Arsenal are looking to offload all these surplus players at the club, in order to create room for newer players and in order to allow the younger players at the club to have a better chance at coming up the ranks.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just what the team had in mind, when they decided to part ways with seven of their players.
