Arsenal try for Mark Schwarzer, Zoltan warns of English arrival
Mark Schwarzer, Fulham’s goalkeeper is believed to have made a transfer request to Arsenal.
Schwarzer is a very effective shot stopper. He is thirty-seven years old and was a part of Coattager’s Europa League. Right now it is widely rumoured that he will make a move to the Gunners in North London.
This Club has been reported to have offered Schwarzer a coach-player role in the club.
Mark Hughes, the new manager for West Londoners, has told the media that he intends to keep Mark Schwarzer with the club. He actually bagged this goalie from Middlesbrough.
A magazine has reported that the Australian goalkeeper has handed in a transfer request to make a move to another club.
Mark Schwarzer rose to fame while playing for Middlesbrough FC during his time at the Football League Championships. He has also represented Australia in international matches and was part of the World Cup squad twice, in 2006 and 2010.
Fulham has been reported to have already rejected a two million pound bid from Arsenal for the star goalie.
On other news Zoltan Gera the Hungarian attacking midfielder, who plays for Fulham believes that “the Three Lions” are going to come out of the match with flying colours in their upcoming friendly against Hungary.
The English side’s reputation and morale has been seriously wounded after their brutal defeat against their arch rivals, the Germans, in the World Cup.
To ensure that the team does not meet the same fate as before, Fabio Capello has made numerous changes to the squad and in their play to move things in a positive manner.
Zoltan Gera, who captains the Hungarian team, believes that the English team is going to be brutal against Hungary. He believes the English will show no mercy to “the Magical Magyars” in proving their worth and regaining their lost respect and honour.
Gera commented on the matter that the team that is coming on against Hungary is full of young talent and they will play with all of their hearts.
He went on to say that they will not lose this chance to prove themselves to the World and regain their lost reputation after a humiliating World Cup exit 4-1.
Gera said that these players are going to fight for English pride and that has never been a serious problem in the English side.
Oddly, what made things difficult for England was that they had constant victories in their qualifying matches before the World Cup. This created a lot of excitement and raised expectations from them.
England was expected to have a good chance to actually win the World Cup. Some say that the root cause for their defeat was that the English league is the only league that does not have a Winter break. This may have been a vital reason for the Three Lions being exhausted in the World Cup.
In trying to improve the English side, Capello has been trying to add one of Gera’s team mates from the club to the English ranks.
Fulham’s forward striker Bobby Zamora, the thirty-one year old is believed to be the missing part of the puzzle which will fit together to result in the English team’s success.
Gera commented on his club team mate by saying that he is not a static or even a direct player. He has the ability to make a run and hold the ball while doing so, and create crucial differences in the game.
The English expect to regain their reputation and all eyes would be fixed on Wembley, when they battle it out against Hungary.
