Despite Southampton just having been promoted, they went on to trouble the top two teams from last season, and were looking to pick up points against the Gunners.
The match kicked off with Arsenal scoring in the 7th minute. Podolski went on to win the ball in the middle of the park and then went on to play a pass to Gibbs. The full back then went on cross the ball into the middle of the park and the ball
deflected off a Southampton player, and then crashed into the goal.
Podolski then went on to take a free kick from some thirty yards out in the 31st minute. The striker then went on to bend his shot in, as he beat the keeper and scored his second goal in two back to back games.
The North London club then maintained the pressure and scored a third goal in the 35th minute. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 went on to reach a brilliant Arteta through ball, as he smashed the ball into the back of the net with ease.
However, the team wasn’t done just yet. Before the half ended, they scored a fourth goal. In the 38th minute, Gibbs went on to cross a ball into the area once again, and one again the ball hit a Southampton player and landed in the back of their
net.
Southampton managed to get one back at the stroke of hall time, as Fox scored a goal for the visitors. A long range shot was spilled by Szczesny, and the Southampton forward went on to place the ball into the back of the net from three yards out.
In the second half, the Gunners went on to score another fantastic goal. Ramsey went on to strike the ball goalwards and his effort came back in off the post. Gervinho was present at hand to go on and burry the fumble past the keeper.
Former Southampton player, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 went on to score the sixth and final goal of the game, as he went on to tap the ball into the goal.
