Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin denies being contacted by Anzhi Makhachkala – Premier League Update
Arsenal winger and Russian international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 has gone on to deny any and all speculations linking him with a move to Russian side, Anzhi Makhachkala.
The forward was rumoured to be on his way to the Russian side, following their recent developments and their want to compete for top honours in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 and in Europe.
Russian boss, d**k Advocaat recently went on to express his concerns, over the fact that Arshavin was not being given enough playing time at the Emirates. As a result, it was believed that the winger would soon be on his way out of the club, in search of
first team action. With only the Russian league looking like a possible destination for the player, it seemed like Anzhi were the firm favourites to land the player and offer him ample playing time.
Nonetheless, despite these rumours, Arshavin has gone on to firmly take a stance against them and state that they hold no water.
Arshavin, when talking to the press about the possibility of leaving Arsenal is quoted to have said: "I've already said, and can only repeat, that this season I will be at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.”
The player then went on to confirm that he has not received any offers from the Russian side as yet and has not been in contact with representatives from any other team as well.
The Russian international then went on to add: "I haven't received any proposals from Makhachkala. I have not had any contact with the club or its representatives."
Arshavin’s future at Arsenal has been the subject of much speculation lately. The player has been linked with a move away from the club, time and time again, but the forward seems to be insistent on the fact that the isn’t going anywhere.
Now with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Cesc Fabregas to most probably be on their way out of the club, the possibilities of Arshavin leaving the team are close to zero.
