Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger claims that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 will be back to his best form soon
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has claimed that Andrei Arshavin has regained his fluent best and could prove to be vital for the Gunners in their upcoming fixtures.
Arsene Wenger told Arsenal’s official website, “I love Arshavin because he's a player who can always give you hope that he can make the difference. He was troubled by confidence problems for a while but he is now back and that goal against Barcelona helped
him.” Arsenal manager also went on to praise the Russian for making such a rapid come back. The 29-year-old Russian skipper was a vital member of Arsenal’s squad last season that finished third in the Barclays Premier League.
Arshavin established himself as one of the best wingers in the Barclays Premier League since his arrival from Russian club Zenit St Petersburg. Arsenal paid a record transfer fee of £15 million for the footballer. At the time of the transfer, the Russian
excelled in English football. Howere, lately, Arshavin has failed to find his best form at the start of the season and as a result he has had to lose his starting-eleven berth at Emirates.
Last month, after a few disappointing performances, Arshavin publicly admitted that he had lost his best form and it was getting hard for him to reinstall his self-belief. The veteran striker was being heavily criticized for his wastefulness during possessions
and being lazy on the pitch. However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger did not lose his trust in Arshavin and kept on backing the Russian to rediscover his form.
Arshavin silenced all his critics and proved Arsene Wenger right by scoring the winner against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League knock-out stage to mark a historic win for Arsenal.  The striker came in as a substitute against the Catalan giants and
with just few minutes before the 90 minute mark, he scored a stunning goal to give the Gunners their first win over Barcelona in six attempts.
Arsene Wenger insisted that he was not surprised to see Arshavin’s impressive display in recent weeks and claimed that there is more to come from the Russian. The Arsenal manager added that it is normal for every player to doubt his qualities when he is
not performing up to the par in a competitive environment.
Wenger added, “He is a top-level player who lives on success and when it doesn't go for you for a while you question 'what am I not doing right and why?' Nobody is immune to that. I have seen so many http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Big-Players-c38635 - and believe me Andrei is one of them - and
they all go through periods like that.”
Arshavin, who has scored 27 goals for Arsenal, is expected to start in Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Stoke City.
