Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has showered praise on his Manchester United counterpart, Sir Alex Ferguson. The Frenchman believes that Ferguson would be a worthy winner of the League Managers Association award for the 2010/11 season.
The managers of the twenty teams of the Premier League will cast their votes for who they think has been the best manager in the ongoing Barclays Premier League campaign. Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is already sure where his vote is going.
The Frenchman said, “They (Manchester United) are in the Champions League final and they have won the championship. It can only be Ferguson. Their away form was very indifferent, but at home they have been more efficient. When they are 0-0 after 70 minutes
you know they will win the game because they have pressure on their opponent, the crowd is behind them and it finishes 1-0."
Sir Alex Ferguson has already ensured his place in Manchester United folklore by leading his squad to their record-breaking 19th Premier League title this season. However, things could still get better for the Scot before the end of the season.
Manchester United will meet http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, May 28, and Arsene Wenger believes that the Red Devils are in a great position to go on and lift the trophy. The last time the two teams met on the pitch, Barcelona secured
a comfortable 2-0 win. However, Wenger knows that Ferguson has learnt from that defeat, and he claims that Manchester United’s approach against the Catalans will be completely different this time around.
Speaking on United’s upcoming match against the Spanish Champions, Wenger said, “They look quite exhausted and Manchester United look sharp physically. I am not sure whether Barcelona have enough time to recover. They look on their knees, so I give Manchester
United a good chance."
