Arsenal defender and England international Kieran Gibbs has come forth and thanked Steve Bould for helping him become the player that he is today.
Bould, who himself is a former Gunner helps out the defenders at the youth academy that Arsenal have running and Gibbs feels that it was Bould’s mentorship that helped him become as successful as he is today.
This season, the young http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international has finally made his mark for the Gunners and is currently the team’s first choice left back. However, Gibbs feels that had it not been for Bould managing him, he might have never made it into the first team.
When talking about Bould and the influence that he has had on Gibbs’s career, the defender is quoted to have said: "Steve Bould had a big influence on me.”

"Obviously he was my manager for two years and I think it was at an important stage in my development as well.”
Gibbs then admitted that Bould didn’t restrict his coaching to on the pitch, as he helped the players develop as better humans and offered them advice on how to behave away from the pitch as well.

"He taught me a lot and he taught a lot of the other players as well how to live on and off the pitch."
Arsenal’s academy has gone on to produce a number of brilliant players over the years and the current squad that the Gunners possess is a fine example of this fact. The team currently has the likes of Emmanuel Frimpong, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463,
all of whom have made their way up the ranks via the Arsenal academy.
Gibbs has gone on to talk about the impact that the youth players have on the side, as he has admitted playing along with the same players time and time again, helps the squad perform better together and makes the team produce better results.
He added: "Wojciech's a similar age, a bit younger, but those players were playing with us for a few years so we all know each other quite well.

"We know what each other can do, which always helps."
It is no secret that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 possesses one of the best academies in the world. However, the only problem that exists at the moment is trying to use these players effectively, while helping them turn into match winners.
The youngsters produce decent performances every now and then, but never really manage to help the team go all the way.
Nonetheless, with the team looking to change all of that, these youngsters could prove to be the answer for the coming seasons.
