Arsenal’s Robin van Persie blasts Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 national team for referee pressure tactics
Arsenal striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, for their tendency to put pressure on match officials.  The Dutchman has not held back in his criticism of the two teams, as he resorted to foul
language while speaking out against the negative tactics employed by the players. His comments come just days after Barcelona’s Champions League triumph over Manchester United.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s Robin van Persie is still
not convinced of their abilities. The striker has played against Barcelona’s star players in his capacity as both an Arsenal player and as a member of the Holland national side, and he believes that the Spaniards do themselves no favours by pressurizing match
officials at every turn.
Speaking on the matter, van Persie said, “They [Spain players] always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked. They are trying to s***w colleagues! That kind of behaviour really annoys me. People who are watching the game on television
and fans really do not want to see these kind of things. If you want to witness a lot of complaints, you should just go the bakery or something.”
The Dutchman then focused his attention on Premier League rivals Chelsea. The Arsenal striker claimed that Chelsea players always complain about refereeing decisions.
He added, “Chelsea players are always bitching against the referees. I really cannot understand that. Just shut the **** up and focus on playing football.”
This is not the first time Robin van Persie has revealed his annoyance with Barcelona’s alleged pressure tactics. The Holland international had previously accused the Catalans of influencing the referee when they defeated Arsenal in the second-leg of their
Champions League quarter final encounter back in March.
Arsenal finished the 2010/11 Barclays Premier League campaign in fourth place, three points behind third placed Manchester City.
