Arsenal’s Yossi Benayoun set to sidelined for a week following strain – Premier League Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yossi-Benayoun-c37520 is now believed to be out for a week, following an injury that the player picked up.
The midfielder was signed by the Gunners as part of a loan deal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and seemed to be a crucial part of Arsenal’s puzzle, as he was going to be contributing to the team using his experience.
The midfielder was a part of the team that went on to beat Shrewsbury Town and Benayoun scored the third decisive goal that decided the outcome of the game and sent Arsenal through to the next round of the tournament.
Nonetheless, it has now been revealed that Benayoun suffered a strain during the game and this injury is going to rule him out of action for nearly a week. As a result, the player is more than likely to miss out on the Gunners game against Bolton this coming
weekend, with a possibility of him being missing in action for the Champions League game against Olympiakos as well.
Benayoun revealed his injury to the world via his Twitter account and is reported to have said: "Very disappointed as I have a strain and will be out for a week or so."
Benayoun has become a crucial part of the Arsenal squad, despite having joined the team only a couple of weeks ago. The midfielder has the experience that is required to help the Gunner younger midfielders develop and he has often been spotted coaching the
players and making them improve their performances.
During the game against Shrewsbury, Benayoun was the only experienced midfielder on the pitch and in the second half, he helped his younger team mates come together and ultimately beat their opponents.
With the player now set to miss out on nearly two games for the team, Arsene Wenger will be looking towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Ramsey-c3065 to replace the midfielder.
Ramsey has spent more time playing as a central player for the Gunners, but Arshavin is the more experienced player out of the two, which is why Wenger might just give the Russian the nod over the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 captain.
Nonetheless, apart from that it seems like there won’t be many changes to the Gunners line up for their upcoming game against Bolton as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715 are both set to be given the starting roles in the middle of the pitch.
Arsenal are now heading into a game against Bolton, which happens to be a must win for the team and hopefully they will be able to get the result that will stabilize their season.
