Szczesny helped Arsenal secure a crucial victory over Stoke City to put the Gunners only one point short of league leaders, Manchester United.
The young Pole prioritises Barclays Premier League among the four competitions in which Arsenal is plying their trade.
The 20-year-old said, “We believe that we are capable of winning the title. We have been very consistent recently. We are doing very well defensively and not conceding a lot of goals, so we fancy our chances of catching them up and winning the title this
year. If we keep playing consistently like we have been, then this will make the difference in the title race”.
Arsenal will play the Carling Cup final against Birmingham City at Wembley Stadium this Sunday. The Gunners will be aiming to secure their first silverware in six years and Szczesny feels that winning the League Cup will boost the morale of Arsenal’s players.
Arsene Wenger usually plays his second choice keeper in the League cup matches, but it is widely expected that Szczesny will be given the gloves at the final.
