http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s standout performers for the 2010-2011 Premier League Season –Part 4
This past season, apart from having their standard stand out performers, Arsenal also had players, who performed brilliantly for parts of the season. What that means is, some players were brilliant in the first half of the season, while others were exceptionally
good in the latter half.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360
Samir Nasri, without a question of a doubt has been Arsenal’s best offensive midfielder this past season. The midfielder along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 went on to have his break-through season for the Gunners. The midfielder, despite often being asked to fill
in on the flanks, went on to excel in almost every position that he was assigned.
The midfielder proved that he had a whole lot in his bag of tricks, which he could use to humiliate his opponents. The attacker showed flair, tenacity and a tendency to give a hundred and ten percent, every time he took to the field.
However, as is the case with all Arsenal players, the Frenchman went on to suffer a hamstring injury in January 2011. Following that injury, Nasri was forced to sit out for two weeks, to get his hamstring back in shape and to regain his fitness.
Nonetheless, that layoff seemed to take a negative effect on the player, as his performances despite being consistent, just weren’t on the same level as before.
Nasri, managed to bag an impressive fifteen goals, while picking up four assists this past term. Those figures can be stated to be his best statistics, since he joined the Gunners in 2008.
Robin Van Persie
Arsenal’s star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 has often been stated to be made out of glass and the start of the 2010-2011 season, just went on to aid that title. The player picked up an ankle injury early in the season and didn’t manage to make his return to
the team, until January of 2011.
However, his return to the squad went on to help him make a claim to being one of the best strikers in the league.
The Dutch international, despite being missing for nearly half the season, went on to score a highly impressive twenty two goals, starting his goal scoring in January. That figure, is rather impressive considering most forwards don’t manage to score as many
goals throughout the course of the season.
Nonetheless, the forward also went on to pick up an impressive seven wins along the way, which helped prove that the player is the complete package.
It seems like the forward took his time off to actually better hone his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Skills-c40539. The striker managed to show much improved body play and the ability to hold the ball and link with the midfield – a trait that he has often been considered to lack. Van Persie’s
finishing seemed to be at it’s all time best and his free-kicks just seem to be getting a whole lot better, as time progresses.

Watching both Nasri and Van Persie dominate the league in two separate halves of the same season, has its highs and lows. It is brilliant to see just what the players are capable of, but, it leads almost every Arsenal fan to ponder over how different things
would have been, had the duo been fit for the entire season.
