Arsenal’s talismanic centre-forward, Robin van Persie, has expressed his desire to commit his future to the club and wants to end the trophy drought by winning as much trophies as possible this season.
The 27-year-old said, “I don't have the inclination to go anywhere. This is the best team for me to be in. The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways,
but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt”.
Arsenal has not won a single piece of silverware in the last six years. Their last trophy was a FA Cup which they won on penalties against Manchester United back in 2005.
However, Van Persie and his teammates are right on track in ending their trophy drought.
