Arsene Wenger: Arsenal’s win over Leyton Orient in the FA Cup was important
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger feels that his team has now overcome Carling Cup agony with an impressive 5-0 win in the FA Cup round against Leyton Orient.
Wenger believes that Arsenal’s victory over Orient was very important and claims that this win will play a vital role in the days to come.
“It was important, of course, that we had a response after what happened over the weekend. We did it in a professional way; we always focused and didn't give them any chances. Overall it was a normal victory. If you look back we have a long run of positive
results but it was important that we did not let ourselves down to give us a good chance to focus on the coming weeks” said the Arsenal manager.
Arsenal played host to league one side, Leyton Orient, for the replay of FA Cup round five. Arsene Wenger made wholesale changes to the team, which endured a shocking Carling Cup defeat against Birmingham City last Sunday.

43rd minute. The Big Dane then completed his hat-trick by scoring a penalty in the 62nd minute. Gael Clichy scored the fifth goal for the Gunners to put them right back into contention for the rest of the season.
Arsenal will now visit Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the quarter final of the FA Cup on the 12th of March and Arsene Wenger anticipates that it will be one of the most crucial fixtures of the season.
